Add-ons allow you to offer additional options when purchasing tickets: T-shirts, parking, meals, drinks, goodie bags, or any other extras. They appear separately from tickets in the purchase process and allow you to increase your revenue per order without complicating your ticketing offer.
Add-ons are not entry tickets and do not generate a scannable ticket. Like paid tickets, they are subject to the same service fees.
Create an Add-on
Go to Ticket Management > Add-ons from your event menu.
Click on Create an Add-on
Enter the add-on name (e.g., "Festival T-shirt", "Parking Spot", "VIP Menu"). This name is visible to your buyers and can be translated.
Add a description (optional) to specify what the add-on includes. You can also add a detailed description.
Set the available quantity. Leave blank for unlimited stock.
Indicate the price including tax. Set to 0 for a free add-on.
Click on Add.
Advanced Options
Add-ons have the same advanced options as tickets:
Sales Period
Choose when your add-on is purchasable: from the start of the event (default), until the end of the event, or during custom dates. Useful if you offer an add-on only in presale.
Visibility
As with tickets, you can set visibility to: Visible, Visible if on sale, Visible with promo code or Hidden.
How Add-ons Appear to the Buyer
Add-ons appear at step 2 of the purchase process, just after ticket selection. The buyer sees the name, description, and price of each add-on with a +/- counter to choose the desired quantity.
Add-ons are automatically available for all orders — there is no direct link between a specific ticket and an add-on. If a buyer purchases any ticket, they will see all of your add-ons at the next step.
Add-ons vs Tickets: Differences
Dedicated QR code : tickets and add-ons each generate their own PDF with a distinct QR code, allowing them to be differentiated and scanned separately.
Service fees : paid add-ons are subject to the same service fees as tickets (2% + €0.60).
Checkout step : tickets are purchased at step 1, add-ons at step 2.
Advanced options : add-ons share the same options as tickets (sales period, visibility), but do not have native min/max per order.
Add-ons are an excellent way to increase your revenue per order. Offer relevant extras (parking, merch, meals) to enrich your participants' experience.
Common Use Cases
Merchandising Sales
Create an add-on for each variant (T-shirt S, T-shirt M, T-shirt L, T-shirt XL) with a limited quantity per size. Use an add-on group to group all sizes under one title (e.g., "Festival T-shirt") and make the purchase process clearer for your participants. See Organize your tickets with groups for more information.
Parking Option
Create a "Parking Spot" add-on with a capacity limited to the number of available spaces. You can also use a shared limit if the parking is shared between multiple ticket types.
Optional Meals or Drinks
Offer a "Full Menu" or "Open Bar" add-on that participants add to their order. This is an excellent way to anticipate the number of meals to prepare.
Yes, paid add-ons are subject to the same service fees as tickets: 2% of the price including tax + €0.60 per add-on. Free add-ons (€0) have no fees.
Add-ons are displayed to all buyers, regardless of the type of ticket purchased. There is no direct ticket-add-on association in the creation form. If you want to limit an add-on, you can use the visibility option Visible with promo code to display it only to buyers with a specific code.
If the available quantity is reached, the add-on displays "sold out" in the checkout and can no longer be added to the order. The buyer can still finalize their order for tickets only.
Yes, promo codes can apply to add-ons. When creating a promo code, you can choose to associate the discount with all tickets and add-ons, or only with specific items. See Using promo codes for more information.
